Most customers do pay on time, reward them for this with a positive rating, because knowing how many other members are happily doing business with a potential new customer is arguably as valuable as knowing that they have a checkered history.
Over 90 percent of enquiries to date have resulted in positive information. Which should not be surprising, considering over 90% of customers do pay on time. What this means is that when a member activates an enquiry on a potential customer / tennant the result shows no adverse reports. And increasingly the reports list how many other members are happily doing business with the entity being enquired upon.
Our members have a part to play in helping the network avoid bad debt. By rating customers with our simple system "Good / Cautious / Bad", other members can see at a glance the customer's payment behaviour and uncover problem payers.
However it is impotant to note that members can not see who other members are 'Happily' doing business with. A positive report simply lists how many other members have this entity on Shark Watch and / or with a Positive / Good rating. Additionally a report will include any information from The New Zealand Companies Office, The Insolvancy and Trustess Service and the Tennancy Tribunial.
Rewarding Good Customers with a positive rating could help boost sales, find new customers through referrals and lower your costs of marketing and customer acquisition.
Not only does a positive rating give customers an incentive to buy additional products and services, it will also reinforce and cement customer relations. This offers Shark Patrol Members an additional member benefit by way of a Point of Difference not offered anywhere else.
