“Knowledge is power” – Sir Francis Bacon

When you are dependent on customer-provided credit references, where can you find information on current problem individuals and companies?

That has a whole new meaning now that the Shark Patrol network is no longer available. However, all is not lost.

insolvencywatch.co.nz has a search facility that connects with the New Zealand Companies Office and Insolvency and Trustee Service.

New Zealand Companies Office

  • Confirms the company structure and address
  • Lists the directors AND other directorships – other responsibilities / liabilities
  • Shareholders AND share holdings
  • Banned directors

These reports are free and currently open to the public via the search box at the top of each page. Why not try it now, simply enter any Company or Director name in the search box at the top of each page of insolvencywatch.co.nz

The Insolvency and Trustee Service

The Insolvency and Trustee Service administer all bankruptcies, No Asset Procedures and Summary Installment Orders in New Zealand. The Insolvency and Trustee Service also administer some Court-appointed liquidations. Therefore it pays to know if you new OR existing customer/s have been registered on this database.

These reports are also free and currently open to the public via the search box at the top of each page of insolvencywatch.co.nz

Then of course there is always Google. Remember to surround your search term with quotation marks. For example:“David Ross” will get a different result than David Ross.
